Remote Start Options

Remote start systems allow you to start your vehicle from a distance, keeping it warm in the winter or cool in the summer before you get inside. Typically, the system will run the car for around 12-15 minutes and then automatically shut off. Most systems also include a security feature that prevents the car from being driven without the key in the ignition (or the smart key inside the vehicle). We offer several types of remote start options to fit different needs and budgets:

1. Factory Remote (3x Lock Start)

Uses your existing factory key fob. Simply press the lock button three times to start your vehicle. It’s the most affordable option and doesn’t require carrying an extra remote.
Range: limited to your factory remote’s distance (usually a few hundred feet).

2. 1-Way Remote Start

Includes two dedicated remote start remotes with a longer range than factory fobs. Great for starting your car from further away in parking lots or apartments. This option varies from a 1 button remote pictured above, to a 4 button remote that can lock and unlock your car. Costs a bit more than the factory option.

3. 2-Way Remote Start (Can include Full Alarm System)

The premium option with the longest range. The remote communicates back to confirm whether your vehicle successfully started. Many include a screen and usually come bundled with a full alarm system. These systems always come with one 2 way screen remote, and one 1 way standard remote. Additional remotes can always be purchased and added to the system.

4. Smartphone Remote Start (Viper SmartStart)
